Mark your calendars, Beverly: the 13th Annual Beverly Art Walk rolls into the neighborhood Sat., Sept. 26, 2026. And once again, Nicky’s of Beverly is proud to serve as one of the event’s liveliest hubs. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite between galleries or planting yourself here for the whole day, we’ve got you covered from morning wander to nighttime dance party.
It All Happens Right Here
Our parking lot & the Garage at N.o.B. are an all-day destination. Here’s what’s on tap at Nicky’s:
Morning into Afternoon: Legendary street artist Won Kim (aka ReviseCMW) & friends kick off with a Spray Can Workshop from noon to 2 pm, open to anyone who wants to learn—no experience necessary. From there, Won Kim spends the rest of the day painting a large community mural right in our alley, so swing by more than once to watch it come together.
All Day: Step inside the Garage at N.o.B. Gallery, where veteran Art Walk artists—including Ann Blaas, John Colson, Matthew “The Pigshark” Coglianese, Thomas Frank, Trish Happel, Rick Therrio, & Carla Winterbottom—showcase eccentric, off-beat, & downright arresting work you won’t find anywhere else. Starting at 3pm, the Cybernalia Brain Trust rolls out the Mutation Station, an interactive photo-booth-meets-art-installation that turns party-goers into part of the show. DJs & pop-up vendors will keep the energy going throughout the afternoon.
Evening — The Afterparty (5–9 pm): This is the moment the whole day builds toward. New-wave honky-tonk outfit Reilly Downes & The Acid Cowboys open with high-powered rhythm & blues, & then things go fully off the rails when Mucca Pazza takes over — the phantasmagoric, genre-bending punk rock marching band super-group that’s played everywhere from Lollapalooza to The Late Show with Conan O’Brien. It’s free, it’s for the whole family, & it’s the kind of only-in-Beverly night you won’t want to miss.
The Rest of the Walk, In Brief
Nicky’s is just one stop on a neighborhood-wide celebration. The 2026 Beverly Art Walk features 150+ juried artists across 43 venues, home studios, & pop-up galleries throughout Beverly/Morgan Park, running 11am-5pm. Highlights elsewhere include:
- The Uprising Craft Market at 103rd & Wood, with 40+ makers & vendors
- Family Fun Park at Sutherland School, with the I Madonnari sidewalk chalk festival, a DJ, & line dancing for kids starting at 10am
- Home studio visits with longtime favorites like potter Dan McCabe, painter Brian Keane, & the multi-generational Vepstas/Virkau family of artists
- Live music, demos, & performances popping up at venues all over the neighborhood, from the Beverly Arts Center to Horse Thief Hollow
The Art Walk has grown a lot since it launched — from a handful of local artists tired of trekking downtown for gallery openings into one of Chicago’s best-loved neighborhood art events. As Won Kim, a longtime Art Walk favorite, put it: “The Alliance makes art accessible & approachable for Beverly & beyond.” That spirit is exactly why we love hosting a piece of it every year.
Fuel Up at Nicky’s
You’re going to be on your feet all day—let us take care of the rest. Stop in between gallery visits for your favorite Nicky’s bites, or grab a drink to sip while you watch the mural take shape in the alley. And once the sun starts to set & the music kicks in, settle in with us for the long haul. Between the food, the drinks, & Mucca Pazza tearing up the parking lot, you’ll want a seat for the whole show.
See you Saturday, September 26. Good vibes, good food, & one seriously good time.
